FlowKey Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
FlowKey is provided by Vortechron Studio in Malaysia. This policy explains what information FlowKey handles, why it is needed, who helps us process it, how long it is kept, and the choices you have.
Information FlowKey handles
Account information. We store your name, email address, sign-in method, and account identifiers. If you use a password, we store only a protected hash, not the original password.
Dictation information. When you dictate, FlowKey sends audio and transcript text for speech-to-text and text cleanup. Your personal words, snippets, dictionary, and prompt settings may be included so the result follows your choices. The app also keeps your draft and up to 100 recent results on your device until you clear them or delete the app data.
Purchase information. We receive product, transaction, subscription status, renewal, and entitlement information needed to unlock FlowKey Pro. We do not receive your full card number.
Service and diagnostic information. We process device and app details, request timing, audio size, character counts, error details, and product interactions to run, protect, and fix FlowKey. FlowKey's activity records are designed not to store the words in your dictation.
Why we use this information
We use it to create and secure your account, provide dictation and text cleanup, sync your settings, manage limited free use and paid access, restore purchases, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and answer support requests. We do not sell your personal information or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Services that help FlowKey work
OpenAI processes audio and text for transcription and cleanup. Apple and RevenueCat process App Store purchases and subscription status. Stripe may process purchases made on the FlowKey website. Apple and Google may process sign-in details when you choose their sign-in buttons. Our hosting, database, monitoring, and email providers process limited data needed to run and protect the service. Each provider handles data under its own terms and our service agreement with it.
Storage and retention
FlowKey does not intentionally save uploaded audio in its application database after a dictation request is processed. Account details, server-synced prompt settings, billing status, and privacy-safe activity records are kept while your account is open. Local drafts and history stay on your device until you clear them. Providers may keep limited records under their own retention rules. Billing, fraud-prevention, legal, and protected backup records may remain for the period required by law or normal backup rotation.
Your choices
You can stop dictation, edit or clear local text, sign out, or withdraw microphone permission in iOS Settings. You can delete your FlowKey account inside the app from Account → Delete account. This deletes the account and its linked FlowKey data. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage or cancel it in the App Store first. You can also ask for access, correction, deletion, or privacy help by email.
Children
FlowKey is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child supplied personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy when FlowKey or the law changes. We will post the new date on this page and give extra notice when a major change requires it.
